More to experience. With the KÖNIGSCARD.

As our guest at Urlaubsnesterl, your KÖNIGSCARD is included for the duration of your stay.

A whole world of experiences - included for free

The KÖNIGSCARD offers a wide range of activities covering nature, culture, sport and adventure – and some of the loveliest are right here in our region.

Take a cable car into the mountains, go swimming, visit a museum, set off by bike or spend a rainy day relaxing at the thermal baths: all of this is included with your KÖNIGSCARD.

Up into the mountains

Brauneck, Herzogstand, Blomberg, Wank, Eckbauer … a return trip on the cable car or mountain lift is included once a day at these nearby mountains.

Whether you’re heading up for a hike, a leisurely walk or even to launch your paraglider, the mountains are waiting.

Water & wellness

Enjoy swimming and relaxation at places such as the Kristall Therme Kochel, Rigi Rutsch’n, Naturfreibad Eichmühle and the indoor pool in Geretsried.

And of course, our Alpenwarmbad in Benediktbeuern, just around a ten-minute walk away, is included too.

Art & culture

At the Glentleiten Open-Air Museum, more than 60 historic buildings make history come alive – and there is plenty for children to discover too, with activities, courses and historical tours.

The Franz Marc Museum in Kochel is also beautifully located and makes a lovely destination for a bike ride.

We’ve put together some of our favourite places around Benediktbeuern.

A whole day at Blomberg

Hochfahren, klettern, rodeln – und zwischendurch einfach die Aussicht genießen.

Ride up, climb, toboggan – and take a little time in between simply to enjoy the view.

With the KÖNIGSCARD, there is plenty to experience at Blomberg: take the mountain lift up, spend three hours in the climbing forest and then enjoy a ride on the Blomberg Blitz.

And if you still haven’t had enough by the evening, you can even stay for night tobogganing.

One destination can quickly turn into a whole day of adventure.

Brauneck – panoramic trails high above the valley

Mit der Brauneckbahn geht es bequem hinauf in die Bergwelt über Lenggries.

The Brauneck cable car takes you comfortably up into the mountains above Lenggries.

Whether you head off for a hike, stop for something to eat at one of the mountain huts or simply spend the day taking in the wide views across the Tölzer Land, everyone can create their own perfect mountain day up here.

Brauneck is particularly popular with our paragliding guests: the cable car takes you and your flying equipment up the mountain, and several launch sites are located close to the top station.

And instead of taking the cable car back down, you simply return to the valley through the air.

The Benediktenwand – our local mountain

Mindestens einmal im Jahr für uns eine Pflicht und für jeden der gerne in den Bergen unterwegs ist.

For us, climbing the Benediktenwand at least once a year is a must – and it is a wonderful destination for anyone who loves being out in the mountains.

The easiest option: With the KÖNIGSCARD, you can hire a mountain bike or e-bike from Fahrradverleih Weißhaupt right here in the village. Bike hire is included once a week.

Cycle up to the material cableway below the Tutzinger Hütte. The well-maintained forest tracks are ideal for the ride, and from the cableway it is around another 30 minutes on foot to the hut.

Our tip for experienced mountain hikers: From the Tutzinger Hütte, take the eastern ascent up to the summit of the Benediktenwand and return via the western route. The two ascents can be combined into a beautiful circular tour with around three to four hours of walking.

There is also a good chance of meeting some of the ibex that have made the Benediktenwand their home.

An action-packed day in Garmisch-Partenkirchen

Diesen Ausflug möglichst für einen Wochentag einplanen. Am Wochenende wird es rund um Wank, Partnachklamm und Olympiastadion schnell voll.

If possible, plan this trip for a weekday. At weekends, the area around Wank, Partnachklamm and the Olympic Stadium can become very busy.

Start by taking the Wankbahn up to 1,780 metres. At the top, one of those views awaits that makes you want to stay just a little longer: the Wetterstein mountains, Alpspitze, Zugspitze, Karwendel and sweeping views across the Werdenfelser Land.

Back in the valley, the Kletterwald Garmisch-Partenkirchen climbing forest is right below. Fourteen different courses offer three hours of climbing at a range of difficulty levels – and some of the more challenging routes really do live up to their name.

Afterwards, continue to the Olympic Ski Stadium and take the Eckbauerbahn up the mountain. From there, a beautiful walk leads down towards the Partnachklamm and through the spectacular gorge back towards the stadium.

And if you still have some energy left, there is one more little adventure waiting: the Flying Fox takes you 270 metres through the air at speeds of up to 70 km/h, bringing you back towards the car park.

And there’s so much more …
